BSc (Hons), PGCE, PG Cert NASENCo, MSc, ATS, NPQH, MCCT

I founded Sutton Dyslexia Practice to provide personalised, evidence-informed support for children and young people with dyslexia, literacy difficulties and other learning needs up to the age of 18.

As a qualified teacher, BDA Accredited Specialist Teacher (ATS), qualified SENDCo and Access Arrangements Assessor, I combine over 15 years' experience in education with specialist expertise in supporting learners with dyslexia and other literacy difficulties.

Every learner receives personalised support based on their individual strengths, needs and aspirations, with practical recommendations designed to build confidence and achieve lasting progress.

I recognise that every learner is different. My approach is supportive, personalised and focused on helping learners understand their strengths, develop effective strategies and experience success.

Specialist teaching is individually planned using structured, cumulative and multisensory teaching approaches. I also work collaboratively with parents and, where appropriate, schools to help ensure that strategies can be applied beyond individual sessions.

My aim is for learners not only to develop their literacy skills, but also to understand how they learn best and become more confident and independent.

My Approach

Safeguarding

I am committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. I maintain an Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the DBS Update Service and follow appropriate safeguarding procedures when working independently and with schools and other educational settings. My full Safeguarding Policy is provided to clients when services are arranged.
