Understanding Dyslexia
Dyslexia is a specific learning difficulty that mainly affects reading and spelling.
Everyone with dyslexia is different. A child may find it difficult to read accurately or fluently, remember spellings, recognise and work with the sounds in words, or remember and process information quickly. These difficulties are not a reflection of intelligence or how hard a child is trying.
With the right understanding, strategies and support, children and young people with dyslexia can develop their skills, confidence and independence.

Interactive Tools
The Sutton Dyslexia Practice Interactive Alphabet supports structured, multisensory work with alphabet knowledge and sequencing.
Designed for use by specialist teachers, schools, parents and learners, the tool will include different levels of support and a range of activities for developing secure alphabet knowledge.
